How to request deletion of your data

Overview

At Multimedium, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page provides instructions on how to request the deletion of your data from our platform. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information at any time.

What Data Can Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove the following information:

  • Your account information (name, email, profile details)
  • Your team memberships and associated data
  • Connected social media platform credentials and access tokens
  • Content you've created or uploaded through the Service
  • Usage data and analytics associated with your account
  • Any other personal information we have collected about you

Method 1: Delete Your Account (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your data is to delete your account directly from the application:

  1. Log in to your account at app.multimedium.com
  2. Navigate to Settings: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select "Settings"
  3. Go to Account Settings: Find the "Account" or "Privacy" section
  4. Delete Account: Look for the "Delete Account" button and follow the prompts
  5. Confirm Deletion: You'll be asked to confirm your decision. Once confirmed, your account and associated data will be scheduled for deletion

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.

Method 2: Email Request

If you're unable to access your account or prefer to submit a formal deletion request, you can email us:

Subject Line: Data Deletion Request

Required Information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Any additional information to help us verify your identity
  • Confirmation that you want to delete all your data

Method 3: Support Ticket

You can also submit a data deletion request through our support system:

  1. Contact our support team at support@multimedium.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  3. Provide your account details for verification
  4. Clearly state that you want to delete your account and all associated data

Deletion Timeline

Immediate Actions: Once we receive your deletion request, we will immediately:

  • Disable your account access
  • Revoke all connected social media platform authorizations
  • Remove your data from active systems

Complete Deletion: Your data will be completely deleted from our systems, including backups, within 30 days of your request. Some information may be retained for legal or regulatory compliance as described in our Privacy Policy.

Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion process is complete.

Data Retained for Legal Compliance

In certain circumstances, we may need to retain some of your information to comply with legal obligations:

  • Transaction records for tax and accounting purposes
  • Records required by law enforcement or regulatory agencies
  • Information necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service
  • Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot be used to identify you

Any data retained for legal purposes will be kept only as long as necessary and will be securely stored with limited access.

Third-Party Platform Data

When you delete your Multimedium account, we will remove all access tokens and credentials for connected social media platforms. However, please note:

  • Platform Account Data: Data on your connected social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.) is controlled by those platforms. Deleting your Multimedium account does not delete your accounts on those platforms.
  • Revoking Access: To fully revoke Multimedium's access to your social media accounts, you should also remove Multimedium from your connected apps/authorized applications on each platform:
    • Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites
    • Instagram: Settings → Security → Apps and Websites
    • TikTok: Settings → Security and login → Manage devices
    • LinkedIn: Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Permitted Services
    • X (Twitter): Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. This may include:

  • Confirming your email address
  • Asking security questions
  • Requesting additional identifying information
  • Sending a verification code to your registered email or phone number
